IZKF Postgraduate Workshop Poster Prizes

We are very pleased to award two doctoral students with a poster prize at this year’s IZKF doctoral workshop on 8 October 2024.

  • Lili Bao (Department of Medicine 1) Epithelial OPA1 links mitochondrial fusion to inflammatory bowel disease
  • Zubeir El Ahmad (Institute of Biochemistry) AP-1 mediates bidirectional transcription regulation in malignant melanoma

In a two-hour poster session, three scientists reviewed each of the participants’ posters. The best six participants were invited to present their posters to the auditorium in spontaneous flash talks. Ms Bao and Mr El Ahmad convinced the reviewers and received the poster prizes worth €250.00. Congratulations to both of them.

The reviewers explicitly emphasised that they had seen many excellent posters on the day.
